Picking up her daughter from camp, she says someone had told her little girl, “I know who your mom is – she’s a cheater.I saw it on TV.” And after last season’s controversy over winner Rachel Frederickson appearing extremely thin at the finale, “I had to take a hard look at my work,” Michaels says.The rock-solid duo have faced plenty of ups and downs during their time together, including the heartbreak of failed pregnancy attempts and the challenging adoption process – but through it all, their relationship only became stronger.

(The couple declined to reveal what method Rhoades used to conceive.) Then last summer, Rhoades discovered she was pregnant at the same time they got news they were matched with a little boy in Haiti.
But when they traveled to meet him, the adoption fell apart after the agency insisted that the baby should be in a home with a father.

“Seeing my two kids together is a magical feeling,” says Michaels, whose intent was to adopt from abroad after leaving in 2011. At age 16, she was diagnosed with endometriosis-a medical condition where tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus instead grows outside of it and can affect fertility.
